Step-by-step instructions for installing your sedum roof system. Follow these guidelines for a successful installation.

Ensure your roof structure can support the additional weight. The saturated weight of sedum modules is 55 kg/m² - this is the load your roof needs to be able to hold. Modules can go directly on existing roof membranes such as EPDM, felt, PVC, and fiberglass GRP. Ensure the roof is watertight and in good condition.
The fleece should be used on all roofing surfaces. It does not need to overlap - the fleece can cover the whole area. Trim excess fleece with sharp scissors for a neat finish.
Edge trims or 38-80mm rounded pebbles can be used as a border. Trims can be stuck down to the roof surface using a strong adhesive. Make sure the roof is dry and free of debris before applying adhesive.
Start the modules in a corner that is visible. Modules are designed to fit together seamlessly. Modules can be cut with a saw or reciprocating saw to fit around obstacles or edges.
Water the modules thoroughly after installation. Continue watering regularly for the first 4-6 weeks until plants are established.
Once established, sedum roofs require minimal maintenance. Follow these guidelines to keep your roof thriving:
